# What is Cheese Game? Cheese Game is a gamified DeFi risk protocol that rewards users with a rebasing, treasury backed asset. Cheese Game attempts to stand on the shoulders' of giants, whose contributions to the ecosystem put all the pieces in place necessary to launch a **decentralized gamified risk protocol** owned and governed by the players! Mice can be minted from our public mint, then staked to receive CHEEZ, an HRC-20 token. To stake your mice, put them in the rat maze. A mouse can only be removed from the rat maze when it has found two days worth of CHEEZ. The CHEEZ a mouse earns is left in its personal pile in the rat maze. You have two ways to claim the CHEEZ for yourself. 1\) Harvest the CHEEZ directly. However, this costs a 25% bribe on your cheez harvested, which is distributed evenly among the pool of staked cats. 2\) Accrue two days of rewards and remove your mouse and its CHEEZ from the rat maze. However, there is a 5% chance of getting caught in a mousetrap while unstaking, which causes you to **lose the NFT** and accrued rewards. There is also a 45% chance of all the CHEEZ collected being stolen by the pool of cats. If you are unstaking multiple mice, this chance is applied **independently** to all the mice you unstake in one transaction. ## Cats Cats are HRC-1155 NFTs. Cats can be minted from our public mint at a premium relative to the mice, and can then staked to extort cheese found by the mice. To stake your cats, put them in the rat maze. Cats have no requirements for staking/unstaking, they can be unstaked at any time. If a mouse owner removes their mice and CHEEZ from the rat maze, they have a 45% chance of losing all their CHEEZ, if this happens, the CHEEZ is evenly distributed among the pool of cats. ## Mousetraps Mousetraps are HRC-1155 NFTs. They can be staked to catch mice. When a mouse is unstaked, it has a 5% chance of being caught in a Mousetrap and transferred to a random staked mousetrap owner, selected through Chainlink VRF. The CHEEZ found by the Mouse is also given to the owner of the Mousetrap. A Mousetrap must be reset after catching a mouse. ## Cheese Pass There was 1000 Cheese Passes offered for mint at 5 cheez each. All users who minted a gen 0 cat or mice NFT have a cheez pass reserved for them for 24 hours, after which it is offered in the public sale. The Cheese Pass can be redeemed at a later date to mint a cow. ## Cows Cows are a set of 1000 HRC-721 NFTs. Each cow is unique and generative, with some special cows. # CHEEZ Token This section details the mechanisms of the Cheez token. Cheez is an ERC-20 token that exists on the Harmony blockchain. {% hint style="warning" %} All Cheese Game official contracts and links found [here](/official-links) {% endhint %} ## Bonding Users can mint Cheez at a discount or premium to market price by providing CHEEZ/DAI LP tokens, DAI, or USDC. CHEEZ that is purchased via bonding will vest linearly over a 5 day period. ## Staking CHEEZ can be staked for a variable APY in the form of rebasing. Users exchange CHEEZ for sCHEEZ, which rebases every 8 hours, providing an option to earn yield that automatically compounds at no extra gas cost. ## Staking warmups In order to prevent malicious users from gaming the rebase, we have imposed a two rebase warmup period, wherein your cheez is staked and locked, still earning yield. After this period is over, you can add your warmup to your staked balance. A user can forfeit their rewards to exit the warmup period early, but they will only receive their initial deposit of cheez back. ## How to Buy Cheese Directly CHEEZ can be bought on either the open market through the CHEEZ/DAI liquidity pool on SushiSwap, or by buying CHEEZ directly from the protocol through bonding. # Governance This section details Cheese Game governance tokens. {% hint style="warning" %} All Cheese Game official contracts and links found [here](/official-links) {% endhint %} ## wsCHEEZ Wrapped, staked Cheez (wsCHEEZ) is a token which does not rebase, but still earns the yield of the underlying sCheez. If you wrap sCheez, you receive a fixed amount of wsCHEEZ tokens. When the wsCHEEZ is unwrapped, you will receive your initial deposit of sCHEEZ, plus any sCHEEZ accrued via rebasing. ## vCHEEZ vCHEEZ is the governance token powering the Cheese Game Users can deposit wsCHEEZ to receive vCHEEZ, which grants them voting power over the protocol. This includes treasury funds, yield adjustments, bond price changes, and any other attribute of the protocol. Since vCHEEZ is exchanged one to one with wsCHEEZ, users still accrue staking rewards when holding vCHEEZ. # Marketplace Cheese Game has created its own marketplace, built on harmony to trade Cheese Game NFTs. The marketplace allows users to trade any Cheese Game NFT. All NFTs are bought and sold in $cheez. There is a 5% fee on any sale, which goes back to the protocol and removed from circulating supply. The marketplace only allows for ask orders as of now. Bids will be added at a later time. # Bridging to Harmony 1. While there are several bridges to the Harmony blockchain, it is recommended to use the official bridge on: [https://bridge.harmony.one/](https://bridge.harmony.one/busd) 2. You can bridge on the official bridge from either BSC or ETH. 3. Choose a token to bridge, input an amount, initiate the bridge transaction on the origin chain, and then wait for the confirmation. 4. Once your tokens are bridged, the official bridge will provide you some ONE tokens to be used for gas on the harmony blockchain. If you plan to interact with the protocol you may want to buy a few dollars worth of ONE on so that you do not run out of gas. 5. To purchase CHEEZ bonds, you will need either DAI, FRAX, or CHEEZ-DAI LP Tokens.
